Advocate for this group as the project looked to reduce scope and refocus delivery of a Minimum Viable Product for the data warehouse. Develop business requirements template and documenting requirements for four of the eight data feeds with other agencies (mostly outgoing). Facilitate requirements gathering and documentation of dimensional model for the Analytics Zone (gold layer) for three business functions before the project was paused. Establish Business Rules Working Group to facilitate cross-business discussion and agreement of key business rules, not documented with no standard definitions applied in the past. Facilitate requirements gathering (functional and non-functional) and other activities to support the Request for Quote procurement processes for both Analyst Toolkit and Data Catalogue components of the new cloud-based data warehouse. Successful vendors were Azure Databricks and Alation Data Catalog. Facilitated the successful implementation of Alation and roll-out to initial cohort of analysts.Analyse the use and identify continued requirements for legacy operational and official reporting to confirm functionality required from new cloud-based data warehouse platform.

Responsibility for analysis of legacy solution data to identify data migration requirements, develop migration filters and mapping specifications, identify data quality rules and remediation options, develop target data models, and identify RBAC for business users. Founding member of Data Technical Experts Group at DIA, informed the terms of reference and membership of this forum, DTEG provided the business forum for reviewing and recommending reference data sets, business rules, data quality rules, issues and remediation, and migration mapping. Also presented recommendations to the Data Governance Group of tier-two managers.

Leadership role across the Business Analyst community within Datacom Wellington, over 50 BA professionals. During 2015 Susan restarted the BA Community of Practice which provides a regular forum for Business Analysts to establish communication channel, development of standards and repeatable business analysis processes and documentation, sharing techniques and lessons learned.Susan actively supported five other BAs from Datacom Wellington to obtain the Certified Business Analysis Professional qualification in 2015/2016.
