I fell in love with a white Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine in 2004 that inspired me to plant these aromatic wine grapes from the Southern Rhône in our estate vineyard in the Lodi AVA. As the winemaker/owner, I opened the Acquiesce tasting room in January 2012. The combination of Lodi’s sandy loam soils and these select white varieties have created quite a buzz – and we frequently sell out of wine each year. Acquiesce follows the Lodi Rules program for sustainability, and all grapes are hand-picked, whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel.Born and raised in Chicago, my passion of food and wine can be traced back to my Irish heritage where a focus on recreating Julia Child recipes and weekly entertaining was kindled. While raising my three sons, my husband Rodney and I were fortunate to have lived in several different states and in Europe.Recently voted the 2022 Best Woman Winemaker in the International Women’s Wine Competition, I have served as board members for the Rhône Rangers, the Lodi Winegrape Marketing Committee, the California Wine Education Foundation (CWEF), and was a founding board member for the Lodi Association of Wineries (LAW), Founding Chair of Slow Food Lodi and more recently have been championing diversity in wineries through the Lodi Appellation Inclusion Collective (LAIC). Our home, winery and 120-year-old barn turned tasting room are surrounded by wine grapes on our 18-acre vineyard property.
