Autonomous design management of 2 developments:Brentford - 333 units over 3 blocks/9 cores up to 11 stories RC frame, blue roof, air source heat pump, Thames-side, Environment Agency requirements.Watford - 127 units over 5 blocks, up to 6 stories, trad build.Hayes - took over the design coordination when the project was under construction. 300+ units, setting priorities & working with the Project team to get on target with program.Reason for leaving: Moved to Sydney, Australia.

Design & Construction ManagementProject under construction required focused design coordination and prioritisation. Worked alongside the site management team to set priorities, built relationships with the site-based contractors to ensure they worked together for the benefit of the project. Developed Trackers for the management of Compliance Certification ahead of handover. Worked with the Social Housing provider to acheive their targets and wrote the handover documentation for their tenants and purchasers.

Brought across to Redrow by the MD whom I had worked with at Bellway (he was Design Director at Bellway - my direct boss). I headed up a team for a complex RC apartment development of 331 units, 2 blocks, 9 cores, including double basement carpark with full ventilation system, centralised gas District heating system, building management system, social housing over 3 cores, landscaped roof gardens, PV panels.Seconded onto a different project to get the design coordination on track in order to meet completion targets.Commenced the Design Documentation for a project consisting of 120 units.Reason for leaving: Team made Covid redundant in August 2020.

As Head of Department: Managed a team of 10 including Design Managers, Design Coordinators, Infrastructure Engineer, Document Controller, Administrator & 3 Graduates. Job involved budget management, mentoring, HR, Training, Senior Management liaison, conflict resolution, monitoring of KPIs, recruitment, one to one's, ensuring the projects were on target and trackers were accurate.As Design Manager: Worked on numerous and varied projects including master planned estates including all infrastructure, substations, roads, houses and landscaping. Blocks of apartments, a Doctors Surgery, local authority parkland/playspace.Reason for leaving: Hired by my predecessor to move to Redrow as his Senior Design Manager.

Hired as a Coordinator to work on numerous, small, high-end housing projects. I was promoted after 2 years to Design Manager.I worked on numerous projects from single multi million £ homes with pools and saunas to developments of 300 units, Heritage Listed buildings, retained facades, projects with habitable basements, sustainability requirements and social housing allocations. Working alongside the production team I managed many on-site fit outs due to my eye for detail and rapport with specialist subcontractors. I also monitored consultant fees, managed compliance documentation for hand overs dealt with remedial issues, assisted the Customer Care and Sales Teams.Reason for leaving: An opportunity to work on RC Framed buildings presented itself.

Designer of contract Kitchens for Melbourne developers. Carried out site-measures, drew the designs in specialist kitchen software, produced standard house-type kitchen drawing for large house-builders, built excellent working relationships with my customer and managed their contracts and variations. Trained new starters.
