I am an ambitious, motivated self-starter with 4+ years of experience in leading both independent and team projects/operations in public policy, start ups, small business, nonprofit organization and more. I graduated from The City College of New York, receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies, and where I concentrated in cultures and communications and minored in Black Studies. I believe myself to be a multifaceted student; as I have now graduated with a Masters of Public Administration at Baruch College, I am looking for a breakout role in social impact, management, policy, development, and technology. My work entails many passion projects including collaborating with the NYS Assembly and the district office of NYS Speaker Carl E. Heastie to pioneer “Her Story, Her Space”, a safe space for women of color to network and share the highs and and lows in their personal life and respective industries. I have also worked closely with the faculty director of the MPA program at Baruch in creating a new social justice concentration for the school. I was able to research, coordinate, and work with a diverse group of professors in adjusting the current curriculum to build the new concentration. I am now looking to apply my knowledge and background in political science and public policy to creative spaces such as social and digital media. I have always been passionate about the intersectionality of government and public policy, and I look forward to building on this through social impact and entrepreneurship. I am eager to be apart of public and global affairs divisions in start up and corporate companies that are looking to amplify their roles in societal impact.
