During this training I learned about teaching methods and theories, behavioural management skills, and to develop my own teaching style. The focus of this job was to provide one to one tuition to children with special needs. Conditions treated included global developmental delay, autism and dyslexia. Due to my intervention as an SEN tutor the children I tutored improved their reading, writing, and mathematical ability significantly in a short amount of time. To design of a questionnaire to find out the attitude of engineering graduates to registration with professional engineering institutions. Results were analysed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences, SPSS. Personal achievements from this role were that using my knowledge of psychological tools and theories I created a questionnaire and analysed findings. This work was then published by the FACE 2008 conference paper.
