The Regional Service Network within the Department of Justice is responsible for the operational delivery of justice services in a number of program areas including Corrections Victoria, Infringement Management and Enforcement Services and Consumer Affairs.The Regional Support Unit in which I am employed as the Quality Assurance and Education Officer is a central unit that services the Regional Service Network, providing authoritative advice and timely reporting to the Regional Executives and Regional Managers.The primary responsibility of this role is to improve the quality and transparency of financial information that is used to make decisions within the Regional Service Network. As the Quality Assurance and Education Officer I work closely with various stakeholders across the regions to test, report on and educate staff on the quality of financial information aligning to accounting principles, department processes and procedures and to provide analysis of cost and cost drives.The role develops and delivers a quality assurance and education program for the prison financial information and operations.

Achieved this process by analysing all current financial control systems for assets (debtors and inventory) and communicated with stakeholders on how each individual processed their task. Concluded the process my highlighting strengths and weakness to each job task and making recommendation.
