The Good Food Institute is a nonprofit working internationally to accelerate alternative protein innovation.Globally, meat consumption is the highest it’s ever been. According to the UN, global meat production is projected to double by 2050. With plant-based meat, cultivated meat, and fermentation, we can address the climate challenges ahead and mitigate the environmental impact of our food system, decrease the risk of disease, and ultimately feed more people with fewer resources. Was responsible for client services and business management at a Denver-based consulting firm working on capacity building issues for non-profits and social entrepreneurs in over 40 countries. Client work included designing strategies for major gifts, year-end appeals, grants, cultivation events, board engagement and communications (messaging & brand awareness). Operational responsibilities included strategic planning, budgeting & financial reporting to the CEO, client contracting and billing, personnel management, and project management. Business development work included public speaking and building third-party alliances with private foundations and industry groups.

During my 10 years with ASAP, I grew the organization into a robust, sustainable NGO that is having deep impact on public education in Tanzania and is dramatically improving adolescent girls’ education in rural communities. Under my leadership, ASAP built schools that educate approximately 5,000 students per year and raised rural girls’ secondary school completion rates to 96% in a country where the national average is 4%. As Executive Director, I led a dynamic, diverse staff and am responsible for all aspects of organizational management, including fundraising, donor relations, strategic planning, project execution, volunteer trip leadership, financial oversight, personnel management and external partnership development. Reported directly to Board of Directors.
