This included my role as Public Affairs Officer as we reached out to the Metro Charlotte, NC area through our volunteer efforts and community involvement.- Responsible for maintaining the site budget for Rewards & Recognition programs, site events, community outreach, etc.- Lead the Site Leadership Team overseeing all site-related decisions including corporate goals, messaging, and culture as well as retaining talent, employee engagement and brand management. Responsible for all aspects of internal and external information for a municipal fire department serving the second largest city in Indiana including on-call media coverage, public information collaborations and campaigns, intranet and Internet coordination, public service announcements, producing and hosting a bi-monthly television program on City Cable TV Channel, etc. * Served as on-sight and on-call media representative for the department as well as provided counsel to multiple leaders ofthe department. Included using PageMaker, Publisher, PhotoShop & other software systems to create and craft messages.* Was responsible for brand and identity management for both Indiana Michigan Power and American Electric Power within the Indiana and Michigan service territory as well as Northwest Ohio. * Experienced in crisis communications as well as emergency management skills such as the annual emergency drills at the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant in Bridgman, Michigan; five-year hydro plant emergency drill for northern hydro plants; and potential terrorist attacks within the United States. * Active member of Indiana PAC Leadership Committee for five years serving two terms as Vice Chairperson.
