When developing curriculum there are three essential components to assess the growth and development of learning levels. The curriculum content I participated collaboratively or created individually embedded ongoing growth and to determine if there are gaps in learning that need to be addressed. Primarily based on Grant Wiggins theory of Understanding by design continuous feedback, formative assessment to determine learning and summarize assessment for mastery. The component utilized the backward design of curriculum which models how instructors and instructional designers first consider the learning goals and how students will be assessed prior to instructional strategy or design. This puts the student at the center of instruction.
