Environment and Safety Practice Group

• Maintain organization of office and staff for the Government Relations Division of the firm• Report to the President of the division with regards to legal and legislative agendas• Produce quantitative and comparative reports on several business matters for the division• Supervise administrative staff and interns • Review, analyze, and track over 2,000 Senate and House bills and provide weekly bill profiles for clients during Maryland’s annual 90-day legislative session• Track and calendar hearing schedules for the 13 Maryland General Assembly standing committees and their subcommittees• Prepare, draft, and submit testimony on behalf of clients for committee hearings• Conduct legal research on a variety of topics using Westlaw Next, LexisNexis, and relevant hardbound books • Draft fee agreements, engagement letters, articles of organization, organizing resolutions and others• Oversee compliance for government relations team and clients with the MD State Ethics Commission • Plan, schedule and coordinate special events including but not limited to, client legislative dinners, policy maker luncheons, firm receptions, and client advocacy days• Attend and summarize committee bill hearings• Develop and implement Social Media and Marketing campaigns • Schedule meetings with Legislators on behalf of clients and team members

• Supervise and schedule a service staff of fifteen people • Develop beverage program and procedures • Facilitate staff training/team development • Complete accurate financial reporting, transaction of revenue, and successfully maintain a liquor cost of 21% • Work with beverage, wine, and liquor vendors on a weekly basis. Provide orders, build relationships, schedule special events• Manage weekly inventory and ordering

• Collaborate with the Education department to complete administrative duties• Participate in volunteer days (i.e. speakers bureau training and tree planting days)• Utilize and update The Raisers Edge database for outreach and fundraising purposes
