In grade school, I decided I desperately needed lipstick, but I was too young to have the necessary funds or a means to buy it. Being raised to be persistent, creative, and bold by a serial entrepreneur and a trained artist, I decided to make my own. I recruited my younger sisters to gather geranium petals and proceeded to experiment. It worked well enough that I convinced neighborhood friends they needed to buy my fabulous handcrafted lipstick. Thus began my passion for creative problem-solving and figuring out what made people tick. What do they want and why? What do they need? And it was the beginning of learning how to lead others, craft common goals, and engage and motivate a team. Pulling the big sister card or threatening to tell Mom wouldn't cut it!Encouraging a group of kids to create makeup from flower petals led to breaking records for the sales of Girl Scout cookies and, ultimately, success at applying sales, business, and leadership skills to a corporate career, business and management consulting, and non-profit volunteer work. I use innate skills, ongoing education, and experience to successfully sell externally or internally - whether a product, a service, an idea, or an organization. As a result, I have won numerous sales awards and then transitioned into driving transformational change management efforts as both a senior leader and consultant. I have independently studied psychology and applied brain science to understand human behavior better and am certified in Key Change Institute's™ Change Facilitation coaching methodology. I have found this approach to be an invaluable business tool. It results in better decisions, higher performing teams, easier adaptation to change, and ultimately a more successful business. I now focus on helping individuals and teams make the deep, life-changing, success-driving changes that make all the difference.
