Inside Sales Representative | Corporate Promotions Coordinator
Richmond, British Columbia, Canada
For reasons of growth, I left my former employ and continued my career at Egghead in a larger office, an established computerized environment and plenty to learn about software, selling, promoting and client relations. A huge perk of the job was the exposure to all of the new software and the encouragement to experience the trial versions to better inform clients. In this role, I supported an outside sales representative and we were able to double territory sales revenues in 10 months by consistently exceeding assigned revenues and margin objectives through team effort. I was also accountable for designing corporate product promotional flyers, devising sales incentive programs and developing product promotional campaigns. Some of my achievements in this role include the following:✔ Conceived and coordinated the ‘Get Crackin’ customer appreciation campaign by working collaboratively with peers and effectively communicating need to acknowledge customer loyalty.✔ Conceived and created support materials and organized “Do You Want to Know a Secret” manufacturer’s seminar for over 100 customers. Booked venue, created invitations, supervised direct mail out, maintained registration list, administered software evaluation campaign and follow up.✔ Developed Customer Information Survey Pilot Project in an industry-specific database aimed at providing specific target marketing based on software, hardware and operating system usage.✔ Simplified and accelerated product return and backorder process by creating a procedural flowchart.✔ Produced a greater efficiency in customer problem resolution by re-prioritizing task lists and reorganized customer groups.Egghead Software was a computer software and hardware company founded in the US in 1984 and operated in two distinct divisions - Retail Division and the Corporate, Government & Education (CGE) Division. The Canadian offices closed soon after my departure and the company, per se, no longer exists.
