I am passionate about public libraries. After 24 years at Princeton Public Library I retired in June 2024 from the library and my position as Head of Youth Services.I've been really lucky to have lead a group of smart, creative, and dedicated people who strive to provide excellent service to children and teens, and their families and caregivers and who put community first.I thrived on the fast past and opportunity at PPL to take on new challenges as well as fostering mainstays like summer reading, community outreach, public programming, collaborating across departments and with community partners, securing grant funding, managing schedules, budgets, and working with the Youth Services department and library's senior management team. My core values in librarianship have been centered around social justice, youth leadership opportunities, youth literacy and fostering an environment where every child and teen feels known and is respected. In addition to my other responsibilities at the Princeton Public Library, I was founding Festival Director for two annual film festivals: The Princeton Environmental Film Festival and the Princeton Student Film Festival.I look forward to staying connected to the public library world and in touch with my peers.
