The Gender Equality Law Center advances laws and policies that promote gender justice and racial equity in all aspects of public and private life. Using an intersectional lens, we break down barriers that limit opportunities for low-income women, LGBTQ, and gender non-conforming individuals on the basis of gender and/or sexual orientation as well those created by institutionalized discrimination and stereotyping.

Represented tenants in NYC housing court and Supreme Court litigation, both affirmative and defensive; represented consumers in federal FDCPA cases and state court debt defense cases. Independently handled all phases of litigation, from drafting pleadings to conducting trials and writing appellate briefs.

HCC is a nonprofit neighborhood organization in Hell's Kitchen devoted to protecting tenants' rights and affordable housing. I represented low-income tenants in housing court facing eviction or suing their landlord to obtain repairs.

Many women come to NYC for second-trimester abortions because they are unavailable or prohibitively expensive in their hometowns. This is a two-day procedure and many of the patients can't afford a place to stay overnight. Haven Coalition is a network of volunteers who escort patients to and from the clinic, feed them dinner, and host them overnight in our apartments.

Acted as assistant to National Field Director. Drafted national ballot access plan for campaign, outlining timeline of filing dates and compliance procedures for all primaries and caucuses. Maintained regular contact with Democratic Party staff members from all states and relevant territories. Tracked endorsements of all nine major primary candidates and maintained master list for campaign.
