Today I have 30+ years working across many design disciplines including interior design, textile design, graphic design and furniture design. Establishing, Comax Australia in 1992 has been a rewarding experience that allows me to regularly draw on my design experience. I discovered early on I had a real skill in being able to shape the furniture design ideas with my ability to think and design dimensionally and for manufacture. I have a passion for the design process as a whole and particularly enjoy thinking creatively about how the joinery, form and textiles can be integrated. I relish in every journey I take on behalf of or with each of our architectural and interior design clients to realise the thinking, right through to delivering the custom piece of furniture that becomes so integral to the space it is in. Over the years Comax Australia has been able to explore and interpret ideas for many projects that have, as I like to say, seen us create ‘furniture reimagined’ for commercial and residential spaces.
