This evolution of my role allowed me to set the vision for and direct the internal corporate proposal service. I not only developed and implemented the program plan, but also led and managed the corporate service proposal team. The program set new standards for facilitating win strategy development and client-focussed writing and I was ultimately accountable for team objectives, performance, budget, and delivering to the business. I enjoyed the opportunity to build and lead a team that was in demand and had a reputation for providing an exceptional service.

This was a time of great growth in the company and this opportunity was about transitioning from a more local operations-based structure to one that needed to better address the needs of internal and external clients who were now more National and Global in nature. It was exciting to lead the company’s inaugural Canadian proposal service program and initiate real collaboration between proposal team members from various operating regions. As part of this program, I directed the creation and utilisation of a national collection of tools and best-practice guidelines, identified team subject matter experts and established an environment of knowledge sharing to provide the best value to the business.

I gained progressive experience through various marketing roles and responsibilities and developed a broad knowledge of Marketing Domains of Practice, client behaviours, workload prioritization/management, and project and team management.

I developed a strong understanding of the consulting industry through hands-on desk and field experience, including proposal response, project management/execution, and working with clients.
