For this private-public partnership, oversaw the creation of seminal sustainability guidelines for the 92-acre development known as Battery Park City. Work resulted in buildings and open space achieving the highest levels of sustainability by requiring such things as blackwater treatment, rainwater collection, cogen, fresh/filtered air, photovoltaics, and high energy savings. There are now over 15 projects in Battery Park City that have earned the highest levels of LEED certification, totalling over 5 million square feet.
Oversaw development of 5 acres of new public parks as part of this private-public partnership.
Held positions within Parks including Director of Capital Planning, Assistant Supervisor of Landscape Architecture and Project Manager. Work touched public parks throughout NYC, including Union Square, Van Cortlandt, Morningside and Bryant Parks.
