Lead in preparation of budgets, cash flow analysis, reconciling, suites of financial reports for funders, the Board, Operations team and CanWACH Directors.

- Manage complete cycle of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and portfolio of subsidized housing receivables and payables; (CMHA budget approximately $4.3 M).- Handle donations and issue charitable tax receipts (receive up to $150,000/annum); adhere to CRA regulations.- Reconcile bank accounts, donations, sales, settlement of sales, and rent accounts for the organizations.- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Great Plains and QuickBooks Online.- Flexible to and meeting organization needs; implementing internal controls as a trusted member of the team; maintain confidentiality.

As a steward of the charity's financial resources, volunteering with qualified Treasurer and Facility volunteers, we ensure value is maximized to meet the charity's mission statement. Involves working with budget, salary reviews, presenting the annual budget for approval, liaise with the Board of Directors, community partners and staff.

Completed risk mapping, audit planning, performed substantive, internal control and compliance audits for major projects in developing countries as well as MEDA Trade Inc. (money services business). Ability to identify findings and present realistic recommendations to mitigate risk and misappropriation. My personable and pragmatic approach resulted in Project Managers and field staff looking forward to my internal audit to identify areas of weakness and recommendations accordingly.Successful internal audits resulted in increased compliance and funding, and staff empowerment through capacity building. Countries traveled to for internal audits: Pakistan, Ethiopia, Libya, Ghana, Tanzania, Ukraine, Nicaragua, MyanmarWhen not abroad, I contributed to year-end and quarterly reporting for several projects funded by NACCRI, JICA, UNCDF, MLA, Gates Foundation, GAC and MCIC. The projects were located in Uganda, Pakistan and Sierra Leon. The GAC project, INFRONT, took place in Latin America, South America, Africa and Asia.
