I inspect all printed jobs for quality. I remove any pieces that are not perfect. I box up the jobs for delivery to customers.

I proofed transaction documents scanned by tellers and entered the data that the computer could not read. If a transaction was out of balance, I contacted the teller to resolve the issue. I uploaded our daily outgoing cash letter to the local Federal Reserve Bank so that our bank could be reimbursed for foreign bank checks. I downloaded our incoming cash letter file from the Federal Reserve Bank so that our customer checks submitted at foreign banks could be posted to our customers' accounts. I entered customers' data for debit cards. I assisted customers if they had discrepancies on their bank statements.

As a floater, I worked the teller window, in the bookkeeping/accounting department, customer service, as loan officer's secretary, and in loan processing. The 8 years I worked as a floater helped me to build customer service skills, skills in data entry, and other computer skills. The jobs I did were to cover another employee's vacation or sick days, so it also gave me great mental flexibility, because I was constantly moved from one job to another as people called in sick, or took a vacation day.
