CurrentSusane writes, directs, and produces for Hudson Classical Theater Company. She wrote an original adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo which was successfully in August 2021, which completes her Alexandre Dumas tetralogy. Susane also writes original adaptations of classical works, including "Pride and Prejudice," by Jane Austen which she will also direct in March 2019 at Goddard Riverside's Bernie Wohl Center. Susane wrote & directed a stage adaptation of "His Girl Friday," and directed and wrote an original adaptation Lysisarah: “Let’s Make America Great Again!” an updated adaptation of Aristophanes's Lysistrata. In Susane's adaptation, Lysistrata is Sarah Palin. Susane has also directed "Comedy of Errors" and the Warehouse’s first contemporary play, "Same River Twice," by Benjamin Elterman, at The Bernie Wohl Center in the fall of 2014. Susane also writes documentaries for the stage: She has interviewed veterans of WWII and of Vietnam and has created a multi-media production where one experiences the personal stories of these veterans against the background of the history, politics and social climate of that war. She has also written these"History Channel Onstage" productions covering WWI and The Civil War. Susane has also created programming for jails in partnership with The NYC Dept. of Corrections. She and fellow Warehouse actors have performed for inmates at Rikers, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and The Bronx detention facilities. As a lifetime member of The Writers Guild of America, East, she has directed many screenplays for their screenplay reading series and is chair person of their Activities Committee. Show less
