Since 1991, Lyon has been creating strategic communications for organizations in the innovation sectors of the economy. Our clients range from unknown startups to Fortune 500 giants, primarily in technology, biotech, and healthcare with a dash of other interesting firms. (Basically, if you don't want to change the world, we're not the right firm for you.) Our film production workload ranges from documentary to scripted to animations, running from TV campaigns to web and event videos, although we'll happily deliver a complete campaign working with our creative partners for print and web. Whatever the task at hand, we bring to it a passion for clarity, a hunger for revolutionary ideas, and a devotion to detail. Our work at LYON is both client-direct and for agencies.

After conducting hundreds of informational interviews as well as interviewing potential staff for LYON for over two decades, I realized very smart new college graduates make a lot of basic mistakes that damage their job hunt and their career trajectory. The business press is full of companies bemoaning the lack of soft skills in their new hires, from college grads to PhDs. Since I've spent my whole professional life taking complex new products to market, I'm a master at this. My book, Launch Like A Rocket, addresses how students can get ready for real life while in college, so they can launch their professional lives successfully.

The Torrey Pines Community is located in the northern coastal region of the City of San Diego and is bounded by Interstate 5 on the east, the City of Del Mar and the Pacific Ocean to the west, the City of Solana Beach to the north, and the University community to the south. Elected members serve three-year terms on the board which provide citizens with an opportunity for involvement in advising the City Council, the Planning Commission, and other decision-makers on development projects, general or community plan amendments, rezonings and public facilities. The recommendations of the planning groups are integral components of the planning process, and are highly regarded by the City Council and by staff.

Oversaw all film production from a budget perspective, dealt with Screen Actors Guild compliance and contracts. Sole responsibility for music licensing.

Managed all contracts and finances for company. Managed copyright database and renewals of all classic films and comic books (1000+), oversaw all cartoon contract administration, selected and managed outside vendors for digitizing comic book art from the 1940s through 1970s for electronic colorization. Also, oversaw (don't laugh) all comic book production, payments, and subscriptions for New Kids on the Block comic book series. Collected all contractual payments due from classic library including Casper the Friendly Ghost, Baby Huey, Richie Rich. (Sounds easy but collecting from movie studios is pretty challenging.)
