Area leads in 5 out of the 6 regional performance measures.• Attained highest distributor pallet pull-through on Chep's national Pillsbury roll-out.• Point person for the geographical re-engineering of the Service organization to achieve an estimated annual savings of $240M.Manager of Information Systems in the 11-state South Region, which were fundamental to service, efficiency and zero pallet loss in over 250 distribution and 150 manufacturing facilities. Required extensive customer interface in evaluating current receiving/shipping systems to determine the optimal integration of pallet tracking and data transfer to Chep.• Designed systems strategy for Chep USA South using Pareto and ABC analyses to prioritize the demand for technology. Chep South became the company leader in account automation.• Managed successful Electronic Data Interchange start-ups at 5 manufacturer's using industry standard formats and links between customer's, Value Added Networks, and Chep USA.• Instrumental in the design of Chep's core PC software package "ChepInfo", and it's subsequent implementation in over 58 distributor and 11 manufacturer sites. • Responsible for the internal systems of Chep's South Region office including Voice Processing, a 30-PC Local Area Network, and a server which supported connectivity to 4 other Chep offices and field devices.

Plano, TX: Business Proposal Manager - Marketing (5/91 - 9/91)Responsible for structuring business proposals to ensure West Area market actions aligned with corporate business strategy.• Developed and prime moved 31 business proposals requiring significant brand interface and cross functional communication to sell area initiatives to Headquarters business teams.• Achieved 100% success ratio in the implementation phase which involved detailed planning and communications throughout the organization.Plano, TX: Industrial Engineer - Operations Planning (11/89 to 5/91)Business Decision Management• Performed processing and packaging capacity analysis on all business initiatives involving Doritos, Ruffles, and Lay's Brands.• Identified optimum product supply scenarios for 112 business proposals.• Analyzed operational feasibility prior to committing functional resources against proposals. Network Planning Engineer• Conducted a comprehensive review of 6 year capital spending vs productivity gains in the distribution channel. This study was instrumental in the recent expansion of Frito-Lay's distribution channel management to include manufacturing warehouses and sales operations.• Successfully managed the start-up of the order processing department for the Modesto, CA plant.

Operations/Projects Supervisor - Responsible for the line management of the 98 OTR drivers in Frito-Lay's largest logistics center (11 managers/25 non-exempt employees), and the planning, implementation and management of the various projects.• Performed a statistical analysis and worked with the shipping department to increase cube targets on trailers by 3.5% resulting in an annual savings of $287M.• Designed and implemented a PC based DC ordering performance feedback system.• Responsible for Topeka's roll-out of the Private Carrier CADEC package.• Petitioned by Denver Logistics management to review their existing operating systems and identify opportunities. Identified annual savings of $115M in the areas of network, communication and organizational structure.Order Entry/Network Supervisor - Managed and trained a network technician and four customer service representatives. Responsible for the network and all phases of order processing, promotional volume plan execution and customer service.• Responsible for the orders of 446 route salesmen (2/week delivery), 23 major DCs and over 250 vend customers.• Identified problems with the hand-held computer system which resulted in several enhancements and reduced clerical overtime.Network Engineer - Responsible for the routing of a network involving 1,100 deliveries/week, 6.3 million miles/year, $861M backhaul revenue/year, and all raw materials for three plants.• Achieved a 9% increase in network productivity worth $450M annually.• Led the roll-out and development of ROVER, Frito-Lay's state-of-the-art logistics scheduling system.• Facilitated Topeka's position as Frito-Lay's #1 producer of backhaul revenue in 1988.Traffic Supervisor - Responsible for the second shift dispatch. Managed one dispatch specialist and three hostlers. Also developed a DBase computer program to assist the inbound department in managing freight charges.

• Restructured the mainframe Vehicle Scheduling Program to increase routing efficiency and improve mileage accuracy while reducing processing time.
