Manage Prudential's $10+ billion exposure global private equity portfolio. Re-established private equity program which had been previously outsourced. Developed infrastructure to enable strategy execution including training staff, re-establishing core relationships, and overseeing investment diligence and execution. One of three senior professionals managing and serving on the investment committee for MetLife's global private equity portfolio. Responsible for building and managing $2.2 billion portfolio of mezzanine direct investments and co-investments, middle market senior debt, mezzanine fund investments and U.S. middle market private equity funds. Reconstituted MetLife's mezzanine program in 2006 and built dedicated team to source and execute direct and fund investments. Developed sponsor and market relationships and infrastructure to support effort. Built mezzanine portfolio to $1.2 billion, exceeding plan and market benchmark returns. Developed and executed strategy to expand business to middle market senior loans in 2010. Sourced and executed over $1.0 billion of below investment grade and investment grade bridge loans (14+ transactions) while managing existing mezzanine portfolio. Expanded business with new counterparties. Managed agent relationships and book of commitments.

Initiated portfolio and built team to invest in 1st, lien, 2nd lien and mezzanine loans of middle market companies. Successfully invested over $500 million in over 50 middle market companies at a premium to large market spreads with minimal defaults/losses. Managed existing $200 million mezzanine portfolio and maintained middle market private equity fund relationships.
