Susan Gatti’s diverse professional experiences makes her a versatile Employer Relations Specialist that understands and supports workforce development by effectively matching qualified employees with local employers. Susan has most recently co-created an Employer Services program at Maine Medical Center's Department of Vocational Services that provides creative workforce solutions for employers through education and training on both recruiting and retaining individuals with disabilities - a often overlooked and large untapped labor pool. Susan’s career path has provided her with first-hand experience in, and knowledge of, careers in the current labor market including, corporations, non-profit organizations, and small businesses. In addition to her work as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor and Employer Relations Specialist, she has personally established and maintained several small businesses, held a management position at a national insurance company, worked as a paralegal for a worker’s compensation law firm. Her diverse work history and ability to effectively career pivot reflects her innovative spirit and her unique ability to support the independent and creative business community of Maine.
