We initially developed our website Visulate to provide property management software to support the management of our properties as Real Estate Investors. As I took on more properties and got a real estate license the website grew too. At one point I was managing nearly 100 units. In August of 2011 I got my Brokers License and decided to take a different direction. We developed Visulate further to have MLS integration with the Real estate boards I belong to and the property and company records for the whole of Florida. This puts me in a position to become a referral Broker for the whole of Florida.In the last 18 months we have gone from 6000 visits a month to the site to over 200,000 and it continues to grow. I get calls from all over the States and abroad from people wanting assistance related to a property or company in Florida. It is my role to listen and work out how they can best be assisted.

I am a Landlord managing my own properties, a mixture of single family homes, and duplexes.Visulate is a web based software system for managing real estate investments. I helped to design and develop this system to support our rental property management business. It aims to improve the productivity of a rental manager by providing a single system to record tenancy agreements, repairs, maintenance and payments. It's optimized for regular events that a manager performs. For example, it generates a list of rents due at the beginning of the month and provides a single page for the manager to record their receipt.For investors the system provides a mechanism to oversee the running of their property. It provides read-only access to the tenancy records and the ability to record loans and property appreciation. It also provides year to date and prior year income summaries for properties and groups of properties.

I have been a member of CFRI for a number of years. I currently run the Landlording and Property Management Focus group. This was a new group I developed in August 2011. 15-20 members attend each month to discuss issues specifically affecting landlords and managing properties.

I worked in the British Prison Service from when I finished University until I moved to New Zealand with my husband and daughter at the end of 1996. I spent 3 years training to be an Assistant Governor as the role was then known as. This included a year as a prison officer then I "fast tracked" into management. I worked in a number of different types of prison including a stint working as staff officer to an Area manager at Head Quarters. I have worked with all categories of prisoner male and female young and old, and the court system.I was responsible for work programs, services, the education programs, sex offenders and life sentence prisoners you name it I was involved somehow, including a riot!.
