The way I want to describe myself to you is to say that I am a sherpa. That’s not to say I am a mountain guide in the Himalayas (although that would be cool!), but the essence of who a sherpa is feels like the best way to describe how I show up in the world for others. I am not a fan of labels and so feel free to describe me as a coach, facilitator or guide if you prefer. I really don’t mind, what is most important to me (and to you if you are considering connecting with me) is who I am, what I do and why I do it. I have always been fascinated with people and understanding why they do what they do. I followed my curiosity into Psychology, then into a career in Learning & Development and on to a pathway of self-employment as a coach. Throughout, I have had a continual sense of seeking which led me to explore NLP, Neuroscience, Mindfulness, Buddhism and a variety of spiritual practices such as meditation and qigong which are both now part of my daily life.As I look back on that journey I can see clearly that it was a journey from seeking answers “out there” to discovering the wisdom “in here”. It has been a journey of inner development. And that is where my purpose and intention have evolved from. I am here to support others who find themselves at a point on their lives where they are seeking answers but are finding that the usual sources are not resonating any more. Drawing on the insights and discoveries I have made along the way, I am able to show people a pathway to their own inner development and walk alongside them to guide them back when they lose their way. This partnership enables them to:• develop their capacity to deal with the challenges that inevitably arise in life• draw on their inner wisdom when faced with difficult decisions• expand their awareness of what is possible • develop the courage to take action where they are hesitating or resisting• be more present in their lives, to slow down and see more clearly• live life differently – with more ease, freedom, joy and compassionInner development does not have to be a solo adventure. I have benefitted from the support and guidance of my own sherpas, coaches, mentors and teachers, so I know the impact having these types of partnerships has. I also know how powerful it can be to be on this kind of journey with others and so I often partner with leadership teams, peer groups and community groups to help them create a collaborative and supportive ecosystem in which they can all thrive.It all begins with a conversation so get in touch and let’s see what’s possible.
