Company is seeking nearly $1 billion in private equity and government loans.• Worked closely with CEO, senior advisors, product designers, R&D consultants, plant engineers, equipment vendors, and scientists to create a detailed strategy and integrated business plan outline for all business units. • Led project development and management – oversaw integration of design, development, cost and supply chain analysis.• Developed comprehensive market analyses of the US electric energy market over the next 25 years, including the availability of energy sources, current market drivers, and the effects of a future national energy plan, as well as the US solar energy market over the next 25 years, including likely changes to the supply chain and competitive response to the client’s market entry strategies.• Developed detailed estimates of all capital and operating costs for manufacturing solar panels, and rough estimates of capital and operating costs for manufacturing mounting systems and utility scale solar farms. Contributed to the engineering by modeling dynamic wind-loading for solar trackers in isolation and in solar field formation and making recommendations on cost-effective gearboxes to satisfy loading requirements.• Worked closely with the CEO and senior advisors to consider various financing alternatives. Modeled potential cash flows; developed Sources and Uses financing requirements. Assembled guidance on applying for a $450 million Department of Energy (DOE) renewable energy loan and for taking advantage of a $140 million Department of Treasury grant in lieu of tax credits. Built pro-forma financial statements and IRR analyses based on agreed business plans and several manufacturing and financing scenarios.

Project Financing and Raising Technology ProfileClient is a start-up focused on building emissions controls and CO2 capture equipment for coal-fired power plants. • Collaborated with the President and the CEO to create the financing road show presentation: Analyzed technical and market data; Developed metrics to illustrate the benefits of the client’s technology over competing alternatives; And created the presentation that helped the client raise $7 million in VC funding. This funding was critical to early operations and enabled the client to build an approximately $350 million pipeline of projects.• Found state government funding opportunities for demonstration of the CO2 capture module of the emissions controls system. Utilized personal contacts to enable discussions between the President, the CEO, government groups and power companies to raise the profile of the technology, to find partnership opportunities that could provide testing opportunities, and to gain access to additional state funding.• These funding and demonstration opportunities were critical to: - The Kentucky Department for Energy Development and Independence approving a Coal Research Grant for the development of Eco Power Solutions’ technology center in Louisville, Kentucky.- Setting up the technology demonstration center which was visited by the EPA, DOE, government regulators, and most advanced sales pipeline members.- Eco Power Solutions’ multi-pollutant removal system being named by the EPA to a short-list of technologies that “offer(s) the potential of reduced compliance costs and improved overall environmental performance” for new source performance standards.
