Led fundraising teams for five colleges at Florida International University. Oversight of fundraising teams comprising executive, principal, major and planned gift directors. Strategic vision for and implementation of Major Gifts and Planned Giving programs at the university in support of a $750M comprehensive campaign. Spearheaded growth of individual and foundation donor base and converted top prospects to active donors.Cultivated, solicited, and stewarded a portfolio of principal gift prospects and donors. Secured corporate and foundation donors and managed those relationships. Created and articulated funding priorities and case statements, goal setting and monitoring, communications, marketing, and volunteer cabinet leadership. Led all aspects of medical school advancement operation in support of $1.5B university comprehensive campaign. Successful completion of a $50 million fundraising capital campaign to fund a new medical school building. Worked closely with University leadership, including the President, Provost and Deans to create and deliver opportunities for donor engagement and solicitation. Served as a key member of the Dean’s senior leadership team. Managed a portfolio of principal and major gift prospects and donors including individuals, alumni, corporations, foundations. Managed portfolio of 100+ endowed and expendable funds, assuring fulfillment of purpose and ongoing stewardship of donors and internal units and departments. Directed alumni relations for the college including comprehensive strategy and delivery of services designed to build strong engagement between alumni and the college.Campaign strategy and implementation including campaign committees consisting of community, philanthropic, business volunteer leaders toward achievement of the college and university campaign and community education goals.Cross-functional External Relations team, comprising communications, development and community relations to position university and the medical school to key stakeholders of the community.Coordinated fundraising communications, including gift acknowledgment, campaign literature, website, online giving and social media for the college. Oversaw special events team charged with annual fundraising and capacity building events for the college, from large scale black tie events to online peer-to-peer fundraising, to small intimate major donor gatherings.Regional Major Gifts Director (2005-2006):Led major gift fundraising for MSU in a geographic region of the US. Identified prospects, managed relationships with individual major and principal gift prospects and donors. Researched and developed plans and strategies for solicitation of major and principal gifts.

Executive management of sales and fundraising for the five-state Great Lakes Region for a leading provider of charitable services to corporations, foundations and high net worth individuals. Served as advisor to same regarding planned giving vehicles, donor-advised and pooled income funds, private foundations, and the tax, estate planning, and charitable giving benefits they provide. Charitable giving advisor to the Fidelity distribution channels, especially Fidelity Private Access groups, serving individuals with net assets of $1 million + at Fidelity. Managed a portfolio of 300 high-level corporate clients to meet sales/fund development goals in multiple channels – with a minimum goal of 15 personal visits monthly.
