You are reading the summary of one very enthusiastic person, who is truly a lifelong learner. I am an experienced teacher and administrator, at all levels of public school. Not only have I taught students at both elementary and secondary levels, but I have also had the good fortune of supporting and training teachers there as well. Virtual instruction is, and has been, such an exciting concept to me for quite some time. As with traditional education, there is no “one size fits all.” Everyone is different. Keeping this in mind is why I so fervently believe that virtual instruction is vital for certain students, in any given number of situations; or, even solely based on personal preference. My goal is to avail myself to provide support wherever I can do the most good. My experience includes:*Blackboard LMS*Creating Course Modules*Facilitating Discussion Boards*Instructional Design*Online Teaching*Portfolio Assessment*Rubric Evaluation*Synchronous/Asynchronous Sessions*Virtual Collaboration*Web 2.0 ToolsMy strongest skills are:*Being Detail-Oriented*Bringing out the human element*Building Relationships*Conflict Resolution*Effective Communication*Innovative Thinking*Organization*Providing support*Sharing constructive feedback*Time ManagementI welcome the opportunity to educate students in a variety of engaging and interactive ways; that are both meaningful and apply to their lives; while guiding the learning through formative assessments along the way. It means a great deal to be a part of this important process that helps to ensure the success for those who learn best, prefer to, or need to learn virtually.
