Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations manager is responsible for managing the arena operators and janitorial staff. As well, establishing rental rates and booking systems/processes, building external relationships, revenue tracking and analysis, portions of the marketing and communications, facility wide fund development priorities and effectively responding to customer inquiries. Develop, implement, and manage all booking systems and processes for internal and external user groups, involving all rental spaces.Research, review and establish rental rates.Develop, monitor, and evaluate the monthly and annual budget for facility bookings.Provide strategic analysis, recommendation and/or opportunities for optimizing facility utilization and revenue generation.Apply for grants and funding for community programming, events and community infrastructure enhancements. Effectively communicate with customers regarding holiday hours, rules and regulations, and changes to programming or scheduling.Use problem solving and people management skills with user groups to overcome conflicts with space, times, facility usageBuild and nurture strategic alliances and partnerships with internal and external user groups, donors, government, corporations, and the community. Manage the arena operators which includes work schedules, time off requests, and any issues they may have with rental groups. Ensure the guest and visitor experience is always positive, ensuring a high standard of quality with every visit.
