Advancing my career in a public, academic or special library is my primary goal. However, I have many additional skills and interests. Ideally, I would like to combine them all.My years of experience include much public service in reference, research, and writing I've also done art library acquisitions, supervised student assistants, indexed and proofed. In additon, I have taught Continuing Education courses and some substitution in English. In all library settings, I have helped instruct patrons--some of whom are very new to computers. Whenever possible, I help troubleshoot minor technical problems. Technical communication, especially writing has strong appeal. I am familiar with medical terminology and can easily translate several professional meta-languages into clear understandable prose. In addition, I have taught art and would love to do more teaching as an adjunct in printmaking, foundation, drawing or graphic novels. I am also able to teach anthropology.I am active in the graphic novel and comics world.Specialties: Research skills. Public Service. The ability to think and produce equally well verbally and visually. Attention to detail. A welcoming, patient personality, and the capacity to work alone, in groups and to meet deadlines ahead of time.
