I’m passionate about improving health care, utilizing experience as a researcher, clinician, educator, and patient advocate. My strengths include project management, scientific reviews of grant applications, disseminating research results, and grant writing. I'm a seasoned, dynamic speaker and effective leader, using honesty, professionalism, humor, and integrity. As a dedicated team member, I’m not easily daunted; I embrace challenges and create innovative solutions. I enjoy the challenge of integrating and analyzing multiple streams of information and synthesizing them to make data-driven recommendations. I'm known for my collaboration, excellent communication, and innovative ideas. I have experience advocating for higher quality health care and am knowledgeable about health policy, value-based care, and quality measures. My research advocacy has influenced national research agendas and plans, as well as increased research capacity. One of my interest areas is translating research into practice and facilitating the success of researchers from underrepresented populations. With regard to education, I have created successful occupational therapy curricula; the latest resulting in student reviews of 9.5 out of 10 for the post-professional program's effectiveness in advancing their practice.
