With statistics like these, never before has there been a greater need for novel approaches to metabolic disease.My PhD examined the impacts of low-calorie sweeteners on biological systems and used molecular pharmacology to propose novel drug targets in the fight against obesity and diabetes.My talent for writing engaging and informative science is illustrated by my five conference presentations, resulting in 2nd place poster prize at the 2017 International Nanomedicine Conference.My creativity and flair for oral communication is exemplified by my win at the UNSW Three Minute Thesis competition in 2015, resulting in participation in the Trans-Tasman competition and more than 22 000 views of the online youtube video, which you can watch below:
