The role allowed me to build new relationships in a variety of locations globally. It involved understanding the tool to be able to impart that knowledge to the business. Crucially it entailed me being the link between the business and technology. This project was particularly challenging in so far as I was managing implementations across a variety of locations either concurrently or some at different stages in the cycle. I maintained detailed project plans, issues and actions logs; I was actively involved in managing issues, working closely with technology to find solutions. Critically I ensured a smooth handover to the stakeholders at the end of each implementation. This involved chairing go live calls with senior stakeholders to go through high level go live criteria and obtain their official sign off to proceed. This minimised any post go live work for our team which enabled us to give the required focus to our next implementations. In 2015 I have been involved in an Operations Scalability program. Central to this has been partnering with the business in a variety of locations to identify opportunities to reduce User Tools to reduce risk for the business. It has been challenging managing several chunks of analysis with Operational and project partners. I have particularly enjoyed following up with the business to ensure planned decommissioning is actually realised. The role has also involved producing Excel based spreadsheet analysis of UTS added and decommissioned. This then translates into a slide deck which I was involved in creating for senior management reporting. Not only do we report metrics but this task also requires great attention to detail and the ability to challenge where things don't make sense. Show less

So far this has involved rolling out Fund STeP functionality within Newton system to Fund Accounting in Hong Kong. I had to quickly get up to speed so that I was able to form a detailed plan and present a deck to senior managers in Hong Kong in order to gain their approval to go live. I coordinated regular conference calls with Hong Kong, Mumbai and Manila Fund Accounting managers along with Newton Business Support team. This created the right forum for discussing and resolving issues in a timely manner, and helped to keep the plan on track. In November 2013 I started working on preparation for implementing Fund launch setup checklist automation across various locations. This has involved holding a variety of discussions with experts who have been through the process already to build up my knowledge and enable me to pull together a detailed plan.
