As a former USAF officer, Susan brings to her position as COO of BCG an in-depth understanding of the constraints of government and works tirelessly to meet client expectations while adhering to its unique restrictions, procedures, assurance standards, and security.

During this period, Susan led the Information Technology & Telecommunications organization at NV Energy, a mid-cap electric and gas utility with over $8B in assets. As the top tech executive, Susan provided strategic direction and leadership on a regional basis to the Information Technology & Telecommunications Organization. In this capacity, Susan managed and directed the planning, engineering, construction, and maintenance of telecommunication systems and facilities that are vital to the electric operations of the power grid. Susan also managed and directed the organization that provides information systems for the enterprise. During her tenure, Susan often served as an internal consultant. Her projects included the following: • Selected as one of three senior executive sponsors for the Company’s $298 million Advanced Service Delivery (ASD) project. The ASD project provided NV Energy with the Smart Grid infrastructure necessary to enable widespread use of smart meters. The Company was selected to receive a $138 million grant in stimulus funding from the Department of Energy specifically for the funding of this project. • Key leader during multiple mergers and enterprise reorganizations: o Acted as Integration Coordinator for all operational aspects of the planned Portland General Electric acquisition, including service company development, integration team implementation, employee communications, benchmarking, and all technology linking integration opportunities to accountable areas. o Led multiple internal reorganizations and process improvement efforts. During one project, Susan devised the plan to rationalize the staffing of the organization, created consensus among the officer team, briefed the Board of Directors, and fully implemented the plan. Later, handpicked by CEO to lead a multi-year, enterprise-wide, process transformation and cost savings effort.

Responsible for a $49.5 million annual operating budget and more than 550 customer service support personnel. While Customer Service Executive for the Company, the Company achieved the highest J. D. Powers and Associates’ customer satisfaction rating of any electric utility in the western United States.
