Owner/publisher of a franchise publication for an exclusive neighborhood in New Orleans. I owned, managed, and published the publication including all publisher responsibilities: administration and management, advertising sales, writing, photography, interviewing, editing, managing staff, content generation, creating events, art and creative, working with the design team, social media promotions.

In my role as CMO, I served as a member of the executive leadership team, providing strategic direction for the growth of the network and district offices through the implementation of marketing strategies, tactics, and Northwestern Mutual brand expansion efforts. I led and directed our support of philanthropic and nonprofit organizations, including our commitment to childhood cancer research. Additionally, I worked one-on-one with veteran financial advisors as their coach, consultant and member of their team to help them grow their practices and serve their clients' financial needs and goals.

I throughly enjoyed working with Trapolin Peer in a contract role for the purposes of helping them expand their marketing materials and strategy. I worked directly with partners and associates to help them set up a marketing communications structure by which materials could be created. I created standard marketing and communication materials for them as well as special projects.

Facilitated creative programming for local chapter including first design community networking event and first design awards event after hurricane katrina, formed partnerships with vendors and businesses, facilitated speaker events, successfully oversaw the chapter budget including maintaining a healthy positive balance upon end of term. Planned networking events and social events. Created Grant Seed Money Program for student groups - which provides funds directly for student groups, based on group membership, to create their own programming. Created the Faculty Advisor Retreat for purposes of training and helping educators for plan successful student groups chairperson of successful 2nd annual Re:source event. Duties included selling booth space, facilitating, promotion, designing materials and chairing event which bought creative professionals together with creative vendors and businesses. Held this successful event 6 months after hurricane Katrina. Served as Group Facilator and Speaker at national AIGA Leadership Conference in the areas of Education and Development. Served on Education Task Force. Re-wrote Education resource book. (Also contributed to Disaster Preparedness task force and resource book,spoke at conference on the subject. Contributed on committee for updating the Development resource book.

Taught software and computer design training in company's training room and offsite university and corporate settings. Demonstrated and taught usage of software effectively in a way specifically tailored to the particular needs of the professionals who were my students. Compiled preparation materials and lesson plans. Gave lectures, hands-on demonstrations and effective presentations. Adaptable to any setting and particular needs of students or audience.
