- Represented individuals and married couples in chapter 7 and chapter 13 bankruptcy cases.- On a contract basis, represented Nancy J. Whaley, Standing Chapter 13 Trustee for the Northern District of Georgia, in hundreds of chapter 13 cases, including conducting 341 meetings of creditors, reviewing amendments, motions and proof documents, and preparing, filing, arguing and negotiating resolutions of objections to confirmation, motions to dismiss, and other motions.

Represented secured and unsecured creditors, creditors' committees, debtor-in-possession lenders, and "stalking horse" bidders in connection with chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, including researching and recommending practical solutions to legal issues, negotiating and documenting restructuring terms, preparing and reviewing "first day" motions and orders, and litigating contested matters, particularly with respect to relief from the automatic stay, adequate protection, use of cash collateral, 363 asset sales and debtor-in-possession financing.

Represented banks, finance companies and hedge funds in multimillion dollar syndicated and single-lender secured lending transactions, particularly asset-based revolving and term loan facilities, including performing due diligence, researching and resolving legal issues, drafting loan and security documents, and administering closings.

- Represented chapter 7 trustee of former subprime equipment lessor in litigating fraudulent and preferential transfer actions, including drafting complaints, performing all aspects of discovery, drafting motions for summary judgment, and negotiating settlements resulting in over $40 million in judgments; participating in negotiation of global settlement agreement among creditors holding over 95% of claims; and successfully objecting to allowance of $390 million in claims.- Represented investment bank in successful objection to discharge of its $20 million claim against former real estate developer, including drafting proof of claim and complaint; examining debtor at creditors meeting and Rule 2004 examination; performing all aspects of discovery, including taking depositions; and researching and drafting motion for summary judgment.- Represented reorganized debtor in defending $18 million breach of contract action by holders of notes issued under chapter 11 plan, including collaborating on successful motion for summary judgment and appellate briefs involving complex perfection issues under Taiwanese law.
