Susanna Bolle is the Director and lead organizer/curator of Non-Event, a non-profit arts organization and experimental music series in Boston, Massachusetts. Non-Events are held in a wide variety of often non-traditional venues in and around the city.As Director of Non-Event, Susanna has developed partnerships with numerous cultural institutions, universities, and small business around Boston, including: the Goethe-Institut Boston, MIT Spatial Sound Lab, Café Fixe, School at the Museum of Fine Arts, AgX, Balagan experimental film series, Harvard University's Sensory Ethnography Lab, Metropolitan Waterworks Museum, Mobius, Modern Theatre at Suffolk University, New England Conservatory, Revolutions Per Minute film festival, swissnex Boston, and Washington Street Art Center.In addition to her work at Non-Event, in 2013/15 Susanna was a Program Curator at the Goethe-Institut Boston, a German cultural organization. At the Goethe, she oversaw the Goethe's music programming, focusing on new, classical, improvised and electronic music from Germany. She is currently the Goethe's Curator in Residence.Susanna also produces and hosts the long-running weekly radio program Rare Frequency on WZBC 90.3 FM, which is devoted to experimental, electronic, and other unusual music.
