Susanna has worked professionally in the fields of art and media for 20 years in which time herexperience has spanned small and innovative artist-led work to large-scale brand partnerships andimmersive high-budget exhibitions. She is currently working at the ICA London as Curator of Talks& Research where she curates and hosts symposia, panel discussions, live events and managesresearch and university partnerships. Previously she worked at Ignota Books as Head of Growth,Content & Communities curating talks, events and the monthly Full Moon Journal and audiocontent. Recently she curated and produced a site-specific festival in partnership with ICA andIgnota at St. James’s Church Piccadilly with artists and musicians including Tai Shani, Paul Purgas,Maxwell Sterling, Jennifer Higgie and more.She worked from concept to completion with Jefferson Hack on Transformer: A Rebirth ofWonder at 180 Strand as Associate Curator. Prior to this she worked in the third sector as the Headof Art in Crisis UK, managing a team of 12 arts coordinators across the 12 Crisis centres in the UKand creating a strategic lead on the arts both client-focussed and public. For 5 years sheco-managed the DAZED x Converse Emerging Artist Award as it gained scale and traction, whichculminated in a large-scale exhibition at the Royal Academy in 2015 which she project managedand curated.As a writer she has been published internationally including in Frieze, Harper’s Bazaar, LEAPChina and has held editorial positions at DAZED, Sleek and Exberliner and been commissioned forpublished collections and exhibition catalogs most recently by Matt’s and The Sunday Painter, oftenfocussed on emerging artists, sound and under-represented practices.She is recipient of a DCYP 2021 grant to develop her creative and critical writing practice onNervous Systems and Care Theory, a programme that recently became a day long symposium at theICA, London.
