Manages all projects — from inception to completion — for Hairpin, a dynamic strategy and design collaborative composed of a world-class team of designers, storytellers, videographers, coders, writers, and brand strategists that partner with non-profit and cause-driven organizations. Sets project timelines/deadlines, and ensures the work is completed on schedule with all essential stakeholder feedback incorporated. Helps determine project budgets, drafts initial estimates, and writes proposals. Serves as a key point of contact for all Hairpin clients. Helps determine protocols and best practices for Hairpin operations. Aids in the production of client assets, which includes copyediting of written branding materials, presentation design, video and audio scriptwriting and editing, and social media content creation.

Managed and maintained the facilities and technologies of the Communication Research Center (CRC), a media and communication research hub located at Boston University's College of Communication. Managed a team of graduate student employees. Designed digital and print collateral to promote the work of the Center (newsletters, social media graphics, handbooks, etc.) Assisted in finding and obtaining grants/funding for CRC research. Trained faculty and students in research technologies and methodologies, including biometric research tools, through workshops, presentations, and one-on-one training sessions. Assisted visitors and gave tours of the Center. Coordinated CRC-sponsored events. Administered student research participant pool through SONA, a cloud-based platform for subject pool management.

Worked on the Out of Eden Learn project, an online learning community created by members of the Project Zero research team that digitally connects young people from around the world to engage in intercultural exchange, thoughtful online dialogue, and close observation. Under the guidance of principal investigators, created and implemented qualitative, design-based research methods (surveys, coding schemes, interview protocols, etc.) to learn about user experience and to inform broader research on progressive education methods. Synthesized this research in blog posts, academic publications, and presentations. Helped create curricula and educator resources. Navigated the backend of Out of Eden Learn's Python-hosted website to collect data, monitor student activity, and conduct beta testing. Maintained communications with current and prospective educators. Authored, copy edited and formatted posts for the Out of Eden Learn blog. Helped maintain Out of Eden Learn's Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Wrote short obituaries and career transition pieces about local journalists for the New England Newspaper and Press Association’s weekly bulletin. Monitored lab and equipment. Assisted visitors.

Aided in production of web stories to accompany the daily radio broadcast of The World, an international radio news program co-produced by Public Radio International, the BBC and WGBH. Wrote, produced and mixed on-air segments. "Webified" radio scripts to make them fully developed PRI.org stories with multimedia elements. Produced and mixed podcasts for PRI.org. Pitched, produced and wrote original stories for PRI.org. Edited individual radio segments to be featured alongside corresponding web stories on a daily basis.

Attended study abroad fairs and events at Northeastern to speak to prospective students about CAPA programs. Wrote reviews of CAPA for study abroad websites. Wrote blog posts about personal study abroad experience for CAPA.org.

Covered local government, community events, and miscellaneous news about town happenings. Pitched original stories and was assigned stories regularly by editor. Took photographs to accompany pieces as needed.

Published press releases, real estate transactions, columns, news briefs, and related photographs to the Boston.com “Your Town” sites in the Metro North area. Pitched and wrote original stories to run in print and online. Created online photo story slideshows. Maintained “Your Town – Somerville” Facebook page. Uploaded reporters’ news briefs to computerized news desk before going to print. Sought out press photos to run with stories/for online galleries.
