As organisational lead, I drew together multi-agency partners to promote the application of workforce trauma informed practice and to understand and accommodate the impact of adverse childhood experiences. This potentially therapeutic methodology served as a pathfinder to the current Violence Reduction Network; proving its value in encouraging agencies to begin addressing the causes of service demand around safeguarding and anti-social behaviour. I coordinated the approach to new multi-agency safeguarding arrangements across Lancashire to improve the effectiveness of local safeguarding. Within this challenging role, I drew together local authorities, police and health colleagues to reach agreement on a single and cohesive and child safeguarding board for Lancashire. Managing differing priorities and drivers, I exercised exceptional influencing and negotiation skills to secure buy in from all parties; delivering a successful outcome. Lancashire was the first county in the UK to successfully reach this significant change.
