I have taught for eighteen years as an art teacher at East Greene CSD, which has combined with the neighboring Jefferson school district to form Greene County School District. I have taught K-12 art classes and mediums, including pottery, 3D sculpture, art appreciation, drawing, painting, airbrush, fibers, and crafts. I believe I am a qualified expert in my field . I am also proficient in using Infinite Campus as our grading tool and using student achievement data to guide my instruction. I enjoy finding out what my students are interested in and get to know them so I can help them be inspired to create an art piece that they put their whole heart into. I also collaborate with the grade level teachers to match my art lessons to what they are teaching in their classrooms.In addition to my loyalty in teaching art for so long, I still pursue my own artistic interests. I recently won the Boone Pufferbilly Days logo contest. My husband, Steve Cunningham – Boone County Veteran Service Officer, and I have lived, worked and raised our children in Boone for the past 30 years. We also own and operate S & S Taxidermy here in Boone, where I mount deer and fish as licensed Iowa Taxidermists.We are current members of the Iowa Taxidermy Association (ITA).

During the eighteen years that I have been employed - two buildings have closed (Rippey Elementary and Grand Junction Intermediate School) and we closed our district (East Greene) and combined with the neighboring district (Greene County CSD)
