As the Director of Innovation at Lake Zurich D95, I am committed to fostering a dynamic and growth-focused educational experience for our students. I have successfully established and implemented the College and Career Pathway Endorsement program and expanded endorsement offerings. I have also facilitated professional learning for K-12 Learning Support Coaches and Library Media Specialists, managed the Illinois Library Grant, and introduced a variety of innovative programming across all grade levels.I have played a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the district's Library Media curriculum and organizing a range of events that support student development. Additionally, I have co-created the D95 instructional model, supported the D95 Strategic Plan, and established a Multi-District Consortium to discuss College and Career Readiness efforts.My contributions also include creating the Learning Support Coaching model, establishing Learning & Innovation Hubs, and developing the D95 Library Collection Development Procedure. In my role, I oversee and evaluate K-12 Learning Support Coaches, Library Media Specialists, and the District Development Coordinator. As an experienced leader in the field of education, my role in overseeing all aspects of LRC, blended learning, STEAM, and instructional technology has allowed me to make a significant impact on our students' educational experiences. I manage and evaluate LRC/Media Specialists, Instructional Technology Specialists, and Innovation Specialists, while also leading their professional learning and development.In collaboration with my team, I've developed and implemented the Future Ready Framework, which enables LRC/Media Specialists to focus on inquiry and integrate STEM into their programming. This hands-on approach empowers students to explore real-world learning experiences. Furthermore, I've overseen the redesign of 11 elementary LRCs, transforming them into STREAM Labs with flexible furniture, encouraging creativity and exploration.My work in establishing the Blended Learning Team has resulted in a significant expansion of blended courses available to high school students. I have also facilitated differentiated GSuite training for support staff, fostering stronger collaboration and communication throughout the district.As a member of the Kane County Learning Leaders and the Kane County ITech group, I actively work to establish and maintain relationships with neighboring school districts.
