About Susannah Skye

I'm a 18+ yr bodyworker. After attending massage school in ABQ, NM, I started in medical massage and sports massage. I did years of MVA rehab work and insurance billing. At the same time I provided sports massage at events and assisted clients with preparation for and recovery from athletic events. With 7 years experience I moved to Portland, OR. I attended Oregon School of Massage to become eligible for licensure in OR. I achieved a medical massage certification and started focusing my continuing education on Women's Health topics. I studied under Rosita Arvigo in Belize to become an advanced practitioner of Arvigo Maya Abdominal Therapy and studied advanced prenatal massage with Carol Osborne. I sought an increased integrative understanding of physiology and took and extensive 10 month course in Structural Integration from Larry Kauffman at NW Center for Structural Integration. To sync my skills with my client's nervous systems I've taken >160 hours of MFR training from John Barnes, including more female body specific work. I've also taken CST and scar tissue trainings from several different sources.
