Susannah Tuttle is the director of the NC Council of Churches Eco-Justice Connection Program. A primary campaign of the program is NC Interfaith Power & Light (NCIPL), addressing the issues and impacts of climate change as a moral imperative. Susannah received a Masters of Divinity degree with an emphasis on ecological ethics from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. Susannah is a founding member of the Southeast Faith Leaders Network and is an active member of the US Climate Action Network. She currently serves on the Executive Board of the Southeast Climate & Energy Network (SCEN), and is the Community Liaison for the U.S Fair Share Collaborative. Susannah lives on a gravel road in Orange County, NC with her husband who is a builder, gardener, and musician, and their two beloved dogs.HISTORY: Susannah Tuttle was hired in August 2011 as Director of North Carolina Interfaith Power & Light, a program of the NC Council of Churches. With Traci Rose Rider, she co-founded Trace Collaborative, LLC a consulting firm specializing in the implementation of sustainability within the design and construction industry. Susannah received her BA in 1996 from New College of California and went on to study at Starr King School for the Ministry at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. Her work at the GTU/SKSM focused on three different interrelated levels of human existence: Educational/Philosophical, Institutional/Physical-Structural, and Communal/Bioregional. In 2004 Susannah received a Masters of Divinity degree and was hired as UNC Chapel Hill's first Sustainability Research Associate. Susannah was a founding member of HistoricGreen and has served on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, and has been a Board Member of National Interfaith Power & Light - The Regeneration Project.
