    SAFE Network is a specialist treatment service addressing concerning and harmful sexual behaviours. In this role, I co-ordinate with children and their families to address the suitability of the service to their needs. I also have a number of clients, whom I am the lead clinician for, creating one to one treatment sessions with the young person as well as regularly communicating with their systemic supports and family. This role not only allows me to address the concerning sexual behaviours but also to look at the young person in a wider view and to work with them in an holistic manner.Currently I am also the co-facilitator of the youth therapy group on a weekly basis as well as the day intensives and three day camps that the youth group also requires. In this role I also carry out the administration work required of a case file, such as initial reports and progress reports, case notes and treatment plans, I also regularly communicate and conduct meetings with a child’s system.  Within this role, I regularly meet with my manager for internal supervision, as well as an external supervisor and participate in group supervision with my colleagues.

    In this position as a full time employee at placemakers pakuranga, I carried over my knowledge and skills previously established in the business to also take charge of the weekly, monthly and yearly promotions and event co-ordination of the branch. Along side this position I was also given the opportunity to develop my knowledge and learning of new skills in order to better help my customers and understand their needs, through training in paint workshops, kitchen design and key cutting.This position would often see me liaising with other staff to develop new ideas for the branch, running and co-ordinating with the promotions team, and helping to develop better work resources for staff. In this past year I have created a database and system for better displaying our wood and bulk merchandise pricing, I have been an active member in workplace inventory spreadsheets and creating a new operating system for an outdated ordering process for a yearly promotion. In this past year I have been fortunate enough to be responsible for our annual Blue September month of fundraising for the Prostate cancer foundation, this was achieved through in store promotions, a month long shave off competition for community and staff and a Trade breakfast for both our retail and trade customers. Not only was this years trade breakfast the largest our branch had seen, we also raised well over $10,000 for the prostate cancer foundation, almost doubling the intake of last years event. This position has also allowed me to develop my interest in workplace health and safety, often working along side the health and safety officer to; process paperwork; create better improved processes and safe operating procedures; developing a branch wide wellness initiative and participating in and occasionally chairing the Health and safety committee meetings.
