I currently visit South East and Greater London Universities between Brighton and Colchester sharing Macmillan International Higher Education resources with Lecturers. Our range is huge and includes Red Globe Press, Macmillan Learning and Springer print and digital resources. I also look after the campus bookshops and work with them to provide deals on our resources for students.

In this role I managed key accounts and proactively hunted for new business in the Primary, Secondary and Further Education institutions in my territory; using a consultative selling technique. My 10 years of teaching experience was a real asset in this role, and I regularly conducted presentations and trained customers in the use of digital and printed resources, and advised them how to maximise the learning opportunities in class. I attended relevant events to promote the resources and developed a vast product knowledge across the huge range offered across multiple subjects.Over the years that I worked for the Press I was fortunate enough to have seen the company re-brand and break into a new market, and was actively involved in promoting awareness of their new identity. I covered all aspects of Sales and received formal Sales training and I was involved in some localised Marketing. On a daily basis I managed and self booked appointments monitoring the sales pipeline using a Spirit CRM database. Over time I built up good relationships with schools and colleges in my territory and could confidently prioritise and manage my time working remotely. I thoroughly enjoyed the autonomy and entrepreneurial aspect of working in a Field Sales environment.

Teaching CYQ Qualifications in Fitness, NVQ in Customer Service, Assessing NVQ L2 Gym Instructor, Exercise to Music and Customer Service;and BTEC L2 and L3 Extended Diplomas in Sport. This involved teaching on/managing courses and student numbers including recruitment; writing schemes of work, tutoring individuals and groups ranging from age 14 upwards; assessing qualifications and internally verifying courses; timetabling and organising trips and events; updating the educational learning platform to construct websites for my teaching groups to send and receive information and course content; and recruiting/retaining learners on all courses.

I started here as a Teaching Assistant in the Performing Arts Department and within two years was promoted to a Teacher within the school, teaching across a range of classes including GCSE Dance, A Level Performance Studies, GCSE Drama and Music, and Key Stage 3 classes in Music, Drama, Dance and P.E. I had full form teacher responsibilities and administered Parents evenings, school reports and student data.
