I am currently working as a hospitalist at Yakima Valley Memorial hospital while serving as the Chair of Medicine. I love medicine because there is no greater trust between two people than when they trust you to care for them when they are at their most vulnerable. As a young child, I was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition. It was through the care and knowledge of many talented doctors. It has inspired me to pass on this care as a physician. In the last few years, I have been fortunate to be involved in quality improvement, which focuses on systemic improvements within many systems including healthcare. I hope to spend the next several years shifting my focus to systemic improvements in the hospital.
