Assessment Manager
Current• Proven track record of delivering high-quality language assessments• Highly accomplished at grading (incl. grading presentations to Ministry delegates from Singapore) • Management expertise: effective management of assessment specialist teams for 10 years, line managing an Assessment Manager since 2019• Managing a range of international language syllabuses (some of which are politically sensitive), incl. syllabuses for Namibia, Swaziland, Singapore and Mauritius• Developing teaching resources and teacher training materials for foreign languages (e.g. training videos for teachers/examiners)• Highly developed cultural awareness through successfully producing culturally appropriate exams to a global candidature• Member of online marking management group, tasked with highlighting and cascading technical problems and streamlining processes• Responsible for compliance with Ofqual regulations • Excellent organisational and planning skills and ability to prioritise when working towards grading and printing deadlines, creating awarding schedules and planning QPEC and Coordination meetingsAssessment Lead Namibia• Liaising on assessment-related matters with senior representatives of the Namibian Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture • Implementing quality assurance processes for Namibian assessments• Presenting to Ministry partners, e.g. the Permanent Secretary and the Minister of Education, during annual review and other meetings• Liaising with colleagues and senior staff from Cambridge International Education regarding quality assurance and accreditation requirements for Namibian assessment materials and syllabuses • Excellent organisational and planning skills in highly pressurised situations
