I also Co-Produced the 2017 Listen to Your Mother show in Austin.In 2017 I founded the Informed Parents of Austin to help other parents advocate for LGBTQIA+ students, teachers and families, as well as support comprehensive sex education. We have built a grassroots community of 1800+ supporters and together have testified at countless school board, SBOE, SHAC, CAC and legislative sessions. In the fall of 2022, Austin ISD will officially begin teaching the newly approved K-12 comprehensive sex ed lessons that were unanimously approved by the AISD SHAC and Board of Trustees.
